  2. Egypt got Sinai back not by making war, but rather, by making peace. There's a learning there for the whole Middle East.

  3.  @body2811  Sure, Egypt saw no future in being perpetually on a war footing with Israel, which it demonstrably could not beat. Fortunately, contemporary Israel saw virtue in living in peace with its biggest neighbour. I'm not convinced that present-day Israel feels the same with regard to its current opponents.
