Comments by "peabase" (@peabase) on "How Sweden is Becoming Russia's Worst Nightmare" video.
I don't think you realise that 'Whiskey on the rocks' was an embarrassment for Sweden's navy. Likewise, in 2013, the world was abuzz about another incident, dubbed 'Russian Easter', where Sweden's Flygvapnet failed to intercept Russian nuclear bombers seemingly headed for Stockholm. The Danes had to do the honours. A year later, an embarrassed Sweden started putting its defence back in order again.

@GoodMan_000 Russian MPs have *publicly said they want Finland back. They wouldn't say so without Putin's say-so.
6
@GoodMan_000 That would be late Vladimir Zhirinovsky, who went on record numerous times with his belligerent views on Finland. Last year, it was Andrey Gurulyov, who threatened Finland with a fate similar to Ukraine's on Russian state TV. Then you have state TV anchors and guest propagandists like Vladimir Solovyov and Sergey Mikheyev, who respectively claimed that the Finns want to rejoin the Russian Empire and that not only Finland, but also Poland, Alaska, Hawaii, and California should become part of it. I guess this is where you scurry off to your troll cave.

Before you toot your own horn, you should know that a Dutch sub managed the same feat during a NATO exercise in 1999, "sinking" USS Theodore Roosevelt and escaping, too. That was six years prior to Sweden's me-too performance.

@GoodMan_000 So you think Russian MPs are comedians and have no official role? I have no problem with that assessment. The Russian State Duma is, after all, often described as a rubber stamp.

@GoodMan_000 For the record, I wrote that there are Russian MPs that want Finland back. You asked for a source and I provided two. Then you became all incoherent and combative. Puzzled by your weird behaviour, I asked you if you were inebriated. It looks like I hit the bull's eye.
3
@GoodMan_000 So? Zhirinovsky was an MP and Gurulyov is one at present. Are you drunk by any chance? You fail to understand simple concepts and you're combative. It would explain a lot.
2
@GoodMan_000 So you are drunk, blabbering about matters that are totally irrelevant to this discussion.
2
@GoodMan_000 My, aren't you shouty! How come it's a lie? Do you reside inside Putin's head? What I'm implying here is that Putin orders these "opinions" from his MPs, state TV hosts and their guests. We can only speculate what Putin aims to achieve here, whether its to unsettle his enemies, feel mighty powerful about himself or is he just blowing off steam? "Your MPs"? This is the incoherence of yours that I was referring to. These are Putin's stooges, his minions, his pawns.

@Viena-e5s Sweden and NATO are offensive to war-criminal Russia, sure.

@TheSuperappelflap It's not a total loss. The combination of Dutch and French sub expertise, both in design and operation, will stand both in good stead. It's another step in the much-needed consolidation of the European defence industry. The 'verzuiling' needs to end.
