@Jay Johnson You're not cued up on international politics, I'm afraid. Abroad, different parties win elections all the time, and some of them are even new to the game. Macron founded and won both presidential and parliamentary elections with a party that had existed for little more than a year. The British political system is very stagnant in comparison. The last newcomer to win was... wait for it... the 119-year old Labour Party.
