There's a marked difference in the level of support that Israel gets from the US, UK, France and Germany. The US supports Israel no matter what, the others support Israel in dealing (without reverting to excessive violence) with Hamas after this recent terrorist attack. You should study the UNSC voting record pertaining to UNSC draft resolutions on Israel. The US habitually vetoes everything.

@seanlort9915 Be that as it may, UN Resolution 181 passed with the required two-thirds majority. I would like to be polite and say that your opposition to the resolution is noted, but I doubt anyone is taking notes. Tell you what, take a crayon and write it on the cistern of your toilet.

Newsflash, Lebanon's central government hasn't controlled the country's borders for half a century, especially its southern border with Israel. It's not for nothing that the UN has maintained a peacekeeping mission there for the last 45 years, trying to keep the Hezbollah and Israel apart. I suggest you read up on Lebanon's troubled history before you comment.

Hezbollah's powerbase is in southern Lebanon. Why would anyone want to destroy Beirut? In Beirut, Hezbollah vies for power with the Christians, Sunnis, Druze and whatnot.
