  1. To be fair, Hamas supporters (estimated at 58% in Gaza) have been radicalised by Israel to the point that they believed that only Hamas could make a fist against Israel. Israel could've played it differently by negotiating in earnest with the Palestinian Authority about the two-state solution, but no, Netanyahu thought it fun to play Hamas and Fatah against each other so there wouldn't be a two-state solution.

  4. Oh, you'll find that Palestinians living in the West don't have that big an issue with it. I do understand that in countries with a Muslim majority, people who do speak out against Hamas risk being targeted by crazed Islamists. If a US landlord kills a 6-year boy -- his tenant's son -- merely for being a Muslim, the reverse is perfectly possible.
