  2. That was the Soviet Union. In terms of discriminatory, apartheid-like ideology, Russia has gone over to the dark side. It wants to subjugate Ukraine, just like the white minority dominated South Africa at the expense of the non-white majority. If your morals are flexible enough to overcome that ideological hurdle and you think nothing of enabling the aggressor in Ukraine, then you've reduced the fight against apartheid to a mere power struggle rather than a fight for equality. I hope Mandela's ghost comes and visits you at night.

  3. Here's what's going to happen. Rather than Russia becoming a superpower, it will become a neo-colony of China. China gets to exploit Russia's mineral wealth in true colonial style. Russia remains independent in name only.
