@classics39 So by which measure was/is the GDR/former GDR so great? Your personal stunnedness, which you can neither quantify nor qualify? I've visited both the GDR and present-day East Germany. The former I found a sullen place that stood in stark contrast to West Germany. The eastern parts have perked up now, but the difference is still painfully apparent.

The far lefties are few and far between in the EU. Sadly, the same can't be said about the far righties. Still, extremists the lot of them.

@JohnJones-k9d And you're pretending to be a thinking man? All you're doing is regurgitating Russian propaganda. The EU doesn't need to be told to keep Russian aggression in check. Especially its easternmost members have forgotten more about Russian aggression than the Americans will ever know.
