  1. Now why would Stoltenberg spread disinformation? Finland has made no such decision. In fact, the country just voted in a new president, who wants to keep the nuclear option open. That being said, it's doubtful that NATO wants or even needs to keep nuclear weapons in Finland. In fact, over the years, NATO has steadily expanded eastward, but its nukes have stayed firmly put -- something that can't be said about Russia's nukes, which have nudged westward.

  2.  @icu17siberia  You seem poorly informed. Afghanistan quickly became a NATO op, with full UNSC backing, too. NATO members contributed troops till the very end. Heck, we weren't even in NATO at the time, but contributed troops nonetheless, with scores of casualties as a result.

  4. Mark Rutte will do fine as NATO's new secretary general. If anyone, he can keep disparate coalitions together. Besides, similarities between Stoltenberg and Rutte are striking. Both keep their heads cool under pressure.

  5.  @MTMF.london  He'll be secretary general, not generalissimo of NATO. The keyword is 'secretary'. It's the same as with Guterres, the secretary general of the UN. It always cracks me up when YouTube commenters think Guterres is the ruler of the world, and hence, responsible for all the ills in the world.

  6.  @MTMF.london  I did stints with both the UN and NATO. The EU, too. As PM, Rutte hasn't exactly been beating around the bush regarding Hungary, with respect to both the EU and NATO. Turkey, same.
