If you want to hold us responsible for British, Spanish and French misdeeds, it's whatever they've done since 1995 that we're possibly co-responsible for. Britain hasn't been our responsibility since 2020. I'm not impressed with American gun ownership per se. Practically all my adult male compatriots know how to handle an assault rifle, but you can't claim the same. And your abundance of handguns and shotguns has very limited military value.
