@aetherion7 I'm centre right in my political outlook, you silly goose. For your info, "presentable" means clean and decent, which haven't been traits associated with the RN in the past, which is far right rather than mere right-wing. I am willing to believe they are some rightwingers in RN who cynically saw a chance in RN to bring themselves to the fore, but I guess they'll just as cynically distance themselves from RN when it's opportune to do so. I hope Les Républicains keep these opportunists out.

It's a legit question. RN is frantically trying to reinvent itself as a serious, presentable political party that's supposedly capable of uniting the French, while in the past it hasn't shied away from unbridled populism and sowing division.

@aetherion7 Invalid? Pray tell, how would you set the centre right apart from the far right? The two don't really mix. Again, me, not leftist, but you certainly are a far-right radical, who can only think in terms of extremes. That you need to demonise everyone who doesn't share your extremist views speak volumes <cough>fascist<cough>.

Is it a relevant question? The far left hasn't been in government in France for more than two decades, and when it was, it was a minor partner in a broader coalition.
