Do as you please, but when you realise your international relations have suffered as a result, it will take a lot more money to regain influence. But please, go ahead. We can do with less America, and if you're voluntarily taking a step back in world affairs, all the better. I've always wondered why the USA needs to be such a global busybody despite the fact that Americans in general aren't all that interested in 'worldly' affairs. Maybe the anomaly goes away now.

The Trump administration is enthusiastic about military spending -- hard power -- but it has no qualms about cutting on soft power. China must be absolutely thrilled.

@azurebadger What a flaccid response. No argumentation whatsoever. You haven't even mastered capitalisation.

I don't think combatting crony capitalism is necessarily a leftist phenomenon. I'm a rightie (well, a centre rightie, but the distinction with hard righties may be lost on you), but I certainly applaud this action.

@azurebadger You just managed another non-argument. It's like you're throwing your toys out of the pram, crying: "no it isn't so sob-sob-sob".

Nice. The USA becomes a one-party dictatorship, like China. We always suspected democracy wasn't really your thing.

@tyronewashington230 Whoosh.

@azurebadger You still can't manage anything better than the equivalent of "you don't know sob-sob-sob". Oh well, you did manage to produce a conspiracy theory about the MSM -- as if you knew which media I consume. You can't even understand the languages. Since I suspect you haven't the slightest clue what argumentation means, I'll give you a taste: "A 2019 study by the Council on Foreign Relations and the National Geographic Society found that Americans generally lack global awareness, despite most respondents claiming they consider international issues important." I see you've added poor punctuation to your list of writing errors.
