@Rosbif06600 Sure, during the Brexit negotiations, BoJo and the UK leadership in general tried to curry favour with potential dissidents within the EU-27, but failed miserably at it. I suppose they remembered the UK's prominent role in the UK-France-USA 'Western betrayal' all too well.

It was Hungary that set off a chain reaction that led to German reunification, the Iron Curtain falling and the Soviet Union collapsing. It's almost unbelievable that Orban had a hand in it. Talk destroying your legacy!

@KlaraBauer-np9gz The irony is that Orban and mini-oligarchs get the bulk of their wealth from the EU, by siphoning off Cohesion funding meant for infrastructure projects. Putin can't spare much these days.
