@nandominus3025 It appears you don't understand them "just straight up facts". I think I'll do the math after all. If the USA had eight journalists murdered between 1992 and 2021, that means 0.024 journalists per one million inhabitants died as a result of homicide. In the Netherlands, the equivalent number now stands at 0.056 per million. Ergo, Dutch journalists are statistically twice as likely to get murdered in their own country than their American colleagues. You might want to sing a tune lower.

@nandominus3025 You exaggerate. The US has seen eight journalists murdered between 1992 and 2021. I won't do the math, but we can safely say that in terms of prevalence per capita, the Netherlands has taken a firm lead over the US with just this one case. If you have a large population, more bad stuff happens... at least in absolute terms.
