Sure you are, Ivan.

You conspiracy theorists... what would the USA gain from delaying Sweden's NATO membership bid?

New F-16s and upgrade packages for Turkey's old ones. They're bazaar merchants at heart.
6
What's the connection with the topic at hand?

Orban has demonstrated the flexibility of his backbone many times over. He always comes around when enough pressure is brought to bear. I expect he'll fold quickly and move on to make misschief elsewhere.

@dexon777 That does not compute.

@nati_X777 So, Sweden is going to turn Turkey into a stable democracy, assert rule of law, make Turkey respect human rights, and fix the wonky Turkish economy? The Swedes are capable, but they can't perform miracles.
1
How do you think you'll pry loose those F-35s?
1
@Thor.Jorgensen Actually, Turkey is in the North Atlantic, since the Mediterranean Sea is considered a sea of the Atlantic Ocean. The same goes for the Black Sea to the north of Turkey. And NATO's "area of responsibility" ends at the Tropic of Cancer, which is well south of Turkey.
1
@Thor.Jorgensen You need to fight it out with your (long-suffering?) geography teacher. I'm so sorry, but the North Sea and the Baltic Sea, too, are considered part of the Atlantic Ocean. Note that I made no claims about Hungary, nor about NATO's membership criteria. Straw man attacks are puerile.
1
@Thor.Jorgensen I told you, have your fight with your long-suffering geography teacher. I don't set the rules.
1
@Thor.Jorgensen The Black Sea is part of the Atlantic Ocean. If your geography teacher has given up on you and won't give you the time of day, you could try the International Hydrographic Organization. I can spare you the trouble, however. They'll corroborate everything I've written. What is your source, by the way? I hope it isn't located at your posterior.
1
@Thor.Jorgensen Rest assured, I won't spill any tears over any of this. But you seem upset. I specifically mentioned the International Hydrographic Organization as my source. I can't help but notice that you can't produce one. It looks like my theory about your posterior holds true.
1
@Thor.Jorgensen Not to brag, but I've got three academic degrees and an internship at NATO HQ in Brussels under my belt. How about you? Let me guess, your alma mater is the University of Hard Knocks? Of course the IHO is a credible source. They're the UN-appointed authority in these matters. Who's more qualified? Please, not your posterior again!
1
@Thor.Jorgensen University of Hard Knocks it is. I still don't see any source that substantiates your claims. You're an empty vessel that makes noise only.
