@ae3809 It's a public secret. US congressmen admitted privately that Turkey will only get a batch of new F-16s and much-needed upgrades for its older F-16s if Turkey ratifies the accession of Finland and Sweden to NATO. Two can play that game, it seems.

@ae3809 It's practically a done deal. Erdogan just wants his F-16 deal with the US approved. You'll sing Erdogan's praises when Turkish parliament rubberstamps approves Sweden's NATO membership.

@winsonip4447 I would expect France to impose the same condition were Turkey in the market for Rafales instead. Relations between Turkey and France haven't been particularly amicable of late. Moreover, Turkey has nowhere to turn to except the US if it wants its older F-16 upgraded. Who's claiming that the US wants to boot Turkey out of NATO? You're paranoid.
