  1. I'm sure HTS has kept a keen eye on Afghanistan and wants to avoid the Taliban's mistakes. They've been trying to rid themselves of their terrorist associations. It wouldn't make sense to change tack now.

  4. I'm sure the ICC will arrange (somewhat Spartan) room and board for Assad after Russia(?) extradites him. Maybe post-Putinist Russia can extradite both Assad and Putin in a two-for-one deal.
