  4.  @oceanwave4502  Yeah, road and rail aren't as efficient a method of transport as by sea. Peru, being on the western seabord of South America, doesn't give access to the eastern seabord, like the Panama Canal does. The major markets for Chinese exports are in Brazil and Argentina -- that's more the eastern side of the continent.
