  1.  David Rodgers  What's new is that the de-facto ruler of a "good" Arab country is caught with a smoking gun, probably leading to his downfall -- after a suitable cool-down period, of course. It's also fascinating to watch Erdogan gleefully put the screws on the Saudis, prolonging their agony for as long as possible. Not very statesman-like, but we're dealing with Erdogan after all. A good thing to come out of all this is that dictatorial rulers will think twice about ordering extrajudicial killings. Putin, too, must've developed restraint -- if the Skripal affair didn't have that effect already.
