  2.  @SuzannaKiraly  Only Orban doesn't get his way. And he can't count on any goodwill, which could get him what he wants withiut kicking up a ruckus. Orban is neither a diplomat nor a statesman. A thug, more like. Maybe you have a thing for thugs? You like them bad boys? Rebels without a cause?

  6.  @csat1078  Actually, the EP has a centre-right majority. It's just that Orban's Fidesz qualifies as far-right populist, which means everything else is leftist to you. I'm stating facts, and those facts somehow butthurt you. Hungary is undeniably still missing out on 21€ billion in EU funding because it refuses to play by the rules. If you think the rules unfair, leave the game. The Copenhagen criteria predate Hungary's accession to the EU, so there's the door. Incidents of corruption in the EU, especially when they concerns individuals as greedy and naive as Eva Kalil, can never be fully prevented as long as there are human MEPs. Hungary's endemic corruption, on the other hand, is top to bottom and goes wholly unpunished. Why, because the EU has no jurisdiction domestically in its members states, and rule of law has effectively been abolished in Hungary, for which the EU sanctions Hungary... we're going around incircles.
