Comments by "peabase" (@peabase) on "Russia cuts gas supplies to Finland for 'refusing to pay in roubles'" video.
@darkroses3479 There will be a future shipment, as in singular. If Russia fails to deliver, there are reserves and alternative suppliers. Replacing gas supplies is more challenging because of logistics, but that, too, turned out to be a non-event. Russia is cutting its own flesh.

@havanascp9602 Russian oil is already over and done with, silly.

@havanascp9602 The last order for Russian oil was placed a month ago. You're crying over unspilled milk.

@darkroses3479 You're generalising. Reserves aren't dangerously low. And there are alternative suppliers. Finland isn't paying in roubles. That's what this whole episode is about. Try to pay attention. Finland just commissioned a brand-new nuclear power plant. It's French, so Russian parts aren't an issue. Uranium, like oil and gas, is a commodity. Russia doesn't have a monopoly on any of them. You're clutching at straws. Russia becoming an international pariah is a nuisance economically, but no more than that. For us, that is. For Russia itself it spells doom.

@darkroses3479 I told you, don't generalise. This was supposed to be about Finland. You switch between Finland and the EU whenever it suits you. Finland is not buying Russian gas from Latvia. It comes from Lithuania, which stopped buying Russian oil and gas altogether. They get their gas through their LNG terminal in Klaipeda. A similar LNG terminal will start operating in Finland later this year. You insinuate that you have a good handle on "the world's reality", but it's not apparent from anything you post. Try harder, Putin fanboy.

That was the Winter War. The USSR was still allied with Nazi Germany then.
