  1. The "WILL of the European people" is whatever enjoys majority support. If that doesn't ring true with you, you're not a democrat. And for your info, MEPs are supposed to "*pursue their own political interests". It's implied that a sufficient number of voters shared those interests, or they wouldn't have been elected in the first place.

  3.  @MilenaBlazanovic-oq2iy  You're not the OP, so you can only speculate what that person meant. I fear you haven't grasped the essence of representative democracy and parliamentarism. We vote in MEPs, who have national party affiliations. The parties join or already belong to supernational political groups within the EP. Those groups form coalitions. Whichever coalition can count on enough MEPs to reach a majority, gets its way. In plain terms, as voters, we've let loose these political animals to form packs, and they're just displaying natural behaviour specific to their species by growling or whisking their tails at other packs.
