  3. rosie her. It's not about whether or not the people have power, it's about the political landscape undergoing far-reaching changes as a result of the voting behaviour of the electorate. There's clearly a disconnect between the traditional parties and the voters. Trump was a shocker, but so was Macron.

  4. Right, China can't compare, but in the grand scheme of things the US isn't a stellar performer democracy-wise, being categorised as a flawed democracy for the second year running. Interestingly, Trump is more symptom than cause, but I suppose his zany antics will make you slip even further.
