@CorruptMediaLies Perhaps you're not very familiar with democratic processes. Referendums have their place when the matter at hand is controversial and the outcome is uncertain. There was nothing uncertain about the outcome in either country. In fact, the MPs grew worried about a voter backlash if they didn't use the power they'd been entrusted with. The world has had its say about the Ukrainian territories occupied by Russia. An overwhelming majority of the UN general assembly rejected both the referendums and the annexations. Russia could've opted for UN-supervised referendums, but we all know how that would've worked out. Since you "prefer facts", then give us a factual account of which countries NATO has destroyed and based on whose assessment. You may want pay attention if it indeed was a NATO op and if there was a UNSC mandate for the op in question. Come on, fact boy, give it a try.

Think harder. Something about Putin going berserk on Ukraine.

@CorruptMediaLies NATO's expansion is underpinned by popular consent in the countries joining. Sweden and Finland are prime examples. Public opinion there very strongly favours NATO membership. In contrast, Russia expands by force, against the will of the people. Ukraine's strong resistance against the invaders leaves nothing to doubt.

@CorruptMediaLies Still no facts from the fact boy. Lazy!

@saliev_m What are you on about? Russia lost in Chechnya as recently as in 1996. The freakishly disastrous Russo-Japanese War and the humiliating Crimean War come to mind as well. And let's not forget the Soviet-Afghan War, which brought the whole house of cards down.

@saliev_m Spare me your clichés. It's public knowledge how the First Chechen War (1994-1996) ended. A badly bloodied Russia left with its tail firmly tucked between the legs. In the Russo-Japanese War (1904-1905), the Russian fleet got absolutely clobbered. Russia had no choice but to sue for peace. In the Crimean War (1853-1856), Russia lost vast tracts of territory. Finally, the Soviet-Afghan War (1979-1989) spelled the end of the Soviet Union. It's interesting to see if the ongoing war in Ukraine is going to have a similar effect on Russia. At any rate, separatism will shift into a higher gear. Will there be a Third Chechen War (2024-2025?) that ends the same way as the first? I have to ask: do they teach you history in school? Or did you sleep through all of it?

@saliev_m Oh dear. I clearly showed that Russia has lost several wars. You're childishly claiming that said wars weren't lost by Russia because there was a subsequent war in which the tables were turned. Are you for real? I really feel like I'm conversing with a child.

@CorruptMediaLies So the fact boy is, in fact, a lazy boy. There's nothing that you could educate me about, but I was hoping you'd seize the opportunity to educate yourself. Alas.

@CorruptMediaLies Lazy boy, boasts about having all the facts, but can't produce them.
