Comments by "peabase" (@peabase) on "EU regulator says AstraZeneca vaccine 'safe and effective'" video.
The EU's stance -- as an organisation -- has been consistent. Member countries have final say on how and to whom they administer vaccines. You clearly can't see the forest for the trees.

@awalker2723 Your Brextremist propaganda doesn't hold water, and you know it.

@awalker2723 The EU didn't order early because we didn't resort to emergency approval for the vaccines. It was always an option for individual members, an option that Hungary, incidentally, did exercise. You're not so special after all. Desperate risk-taker would be a better description. Not that I think you dwell on such intricacies, but emergency approval of vaccines can come at a huge cost to society. Recently, there was a swine flu vaccine that turned out to cause narcolepsy. Sufferers are medically retired because of it. You clearly can't keep fact and fiction apart. The EU hasn't suspended any vaccination programmes, since it's not managing them. The suspensions were the work of individual countries. Finally, why perpetuate the myth that we're pining after the UK? Even before your fateful Brexit referendum, opinion polls in Germany and France suggested that there was a preference on the continent for the UK leaving. It seems you complied. We should thank you.

The company behind Sputnik vaccine took their sweet time to apply for certification with the EMA. All the others, who've had their vaccines certified already, were at it much earlier. One can only wonder what the Russian feet-dragging was about. It raises questions about how proven your "proven tech" really is.
