  1. @nct hzr: You're comparing apples and pears. The overwhelming majority of Turkish troops are conscripts, who fall far short of the level of proficiency that all-professional armies have. In short, they're comparable to reserve military forces, like the US National Guard or British Territorial Army. Nothing wrong with that -- I'm active reservist myself.
