The truth was revealed. Ukraine wasn't about NATO expansion. Putin wanted Ukraine for himself and Ukraine's NATO membership would've put a stop to that. Putin would've equally demonised Starfleet had it offered Ukraine security guarantees. Russia is the Borg Collective here.

@cavf4601 Why-oh-why does your troll farm supervisor still think that this well-worn cliché packs credibility? You're describing an entirely hypothetical situation -- Mexico and Canada would never join CSTO. Instead, why don't you day-dream about Russia forming an alliance with Iron Sky's Moon Nazis? If the US and Australia have concerns about sovereign countries forming alliances of their own choosing, they can like it or lump it.

A few years ago, Israel sent F-35s for a spin above Damascus and Syria' S-300s and S-400s couldn't detect them. Finland, which will soon have the F-35 as well, will be fine.

@benvandam369 The battles for Kyiv and Kharkiv, respectively the largest and second-largest cities of Ukraine, have been humiliating defeats for Russia. But hey, those goal posts move for a reason. Soon, we'll hear that the Russian army heroically withdraws from Kherson and Mariupol to concentrate on defending Sevastopol.

@187dashh Yup, and it's nothing new either. Finland and Sweden have hosted plenty of military exercises involving NATO soldiers. And that's not stopping now either.
