@girijathesaviour9290 Ukraine's strategic value to Russia is secondary to the Ukrainians' right to self-determination. They're clearly in favour of joining both the EU and NATO rather than Putin's pathetic Eurasian Economic Union and his recently dusted-off CSTO. You're badly behind the times regarding Finland. The country has been in the EU for a quarter of a century and according to recent polls, a clear majority of Finns supports NATO membership. Its parliament is discussing NATO membership as we speak.

@girijathesaviour9290 We're partners in NATO, that's why they're in Europe. We base some of our attack helicopters and F-35s in the US, too. If Russia has a problem with NATO, why take it out on Ukraine? If you didn't like my analogy, how about the wife (Russia) hitting the kid (Ukraine) in retaliation or the kid (Russia) subsequently kicking the family dog (Ukraine)? The OCSE -- which Russia is a founding member of -- judged that Ukraine's elections were free and fair. I don't see puppets or, for that matter, Nazis in leadership positions in Ukraine.
