Sweden is not doing *well. Among the Nordic countries, Sweden is sticking out like a sore thumb. You have more deaths than the other countries combined!

@PenisMcWhirtar Accept the superiority of the Swedish approach? I'll accept that Sweden has a superiority complex vis à vis the world. Flu seasons of the yore don't explain the high Covid-19 mortality rate in Sweden. What does is Sweden not shielding its care homes from infection. Were you all smiles when your elderly died premature deaths?

@PenisMcWhirtar Feeble excuses and self-congratulatory babble. Your authorities have admitted to failings, all the way up to the PM. Moreover, a recent poll showed that more Swedes express no confidence in the national Covid-19 strategy than the other way around. Sure enough Tegnell, the chief epidemiologist, has been sidelined. You're seriously in denial. In case it isn't clear to you yet, I'm talking about a Nordic context, whereas you've obviously comparing Sweden to other European countries that have had it much worse from the onset. In Norway, Denmark and Finland, there have been only partial lockdowns and mostly voluntary measures, which by and large have worked very well. There has been no public backlash of note. The economic impact is much the same, too.

@PenisMcWhirtar Now you're just being silly. What do university applications have got to do with the price of tea in China? If you think it matters that you live in Sweden (BTW, I got that right away), then produce an opinion poll that proves the opposite, that Swedes have high confidence in the national Covid-19 strategy. Don't be shy, I understand Swedish. For reasons that I cannot fathom, you're somehow under the impression that I am a Brit. You can save your bile for them. You can also save your emoticons for pre-teens, who can appreciate them.
