  6. Haji, you're poorly informed. Of NATO's 30 members, 21 are also members of the EU -- and soon that number is bound to rise to 23 when Sweden and Finland join NATO. I guess Austria and Ireland, too, are prospects. Malta and Cyprus, I wouldn't count them out either. BTW, Putin's Russia may be a wannabe superpower, but it's still a regional power.
