Speaking of which, there is an illustrating (and relevant) example in Britain's two new aircraft carriers, which are fundamentally flawed in only accepting one type of fixed-wing aircraft, which also happens to be fundamentally flawed, not to mention ridiculously overpriced. You Brits got some help from the Americans on this one, but it's just deserts given your poor planning. Glass houses...

  3.  @nigeljohnson9820  Your usual smoke and mirrors aside, British arms procurement is notoriously inefficient no matter where the kit comes from. More often than not, your soldiers end up with kit that is substandard, or when it happens to be up to scratch, it's grossly overpriced. But it's always late.

  5. That's utter nonsense, Martin. Many European countries besides France and Germany have well-established aerospace industries. UK, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Czech Republic and Poland come to mind.
