I suppose so, if you're American and haven't come to terms with socialism. Or if you're a wacky conspiracy theorist and dread cultural Marxism.

Ben, Juncker's father was forcibly conscripted into the Wehrmacht. Would you call the Dutch and the Belgians who were forced to build weapons of war for the Nazis collaborators, too? Juncker's supposed Nazi ties on account of his father-in-law are as insubstantial as those of King Willem-Alexander's to Argentina's Dirty War. As to Juncker's grandfather, I can't find any allegations of collaboration. Incidentally, neither could The Sun when they wrote their notorious defamation article on Juncker.

Dreadknot, judging from your comments here, you're the one who's intellectually challenged. Aspects of Marxism have found their way into just about every political system, Nazism included. Love or hate him, Karl Marx deserves his place in history.

raedwulf61, what exactly, in your misguided opinion, is Juncker's affiliation with the Nazis?
1
Dreadknot, yes, I was actually alluding to your anti-Semitic posts when I voiced my concerns about your lack of intellect.

Dreadknot, oops, there you go again with your gay themes. Maybe you should be honest to yourself. It's OK to be gay in this day and age.

Nice straw man attack there, @LaughingMan44 . Do you actually deny that all modern societies have adopted certain principles that can be traced back to Karl Marx? It doesn't mean we've embraced socialism and rejected capitalism altogether. You seem to have a problem perceiving shades of gray.

@LaughingMan44 Again, who wants a Marxist society? Karl Marx's influence, however, can't be denied. Your efforts to vilify him just underline it. In my opinion, perhaps the best to come out of Marxism is how twentieth-century societies managed to stave it off it by having a good look in the mirror and then taking the wind out of the Communists' sails. Marx called for social justice, which we now have, at least in Europe. Marx was a philosopher who plotted a course for humanity that we ultimately didn't follow, but he definitely had a hand in some course corrections. Humanity is the better for it.
