@branilavvasic9727 Russia is edging ever closer to collapse as the war in Ukraine empties its sovereign wealth fund (already down to 50% in two years of fruitless fighting) and Russia's profits on hydrocarbons remain perilously low. Over to you, what signs of impending doom for the EU do you see? For once, try to construct a proper argument, based on verifiable facts. Your worn-out propaganda slogans serve no purpose.

Russia is the great colonizer, then and now. Other colonial powers have long since decolonised, but in stark contrast, Russia seeks to recolonise. Ukraine is a case in point.

@branilavvasic9727 It's *fairy *tale. Actually, what's a fairy tale is Russia's GDP as an indicator of its economic wellbeing. As I hinted earlier, Russia is boosting its GDP by plundering its sovereign wealth fund. It doesn't generate any long-term growth, because the increased industrial production mainly feeds Russia's insatiable war machine. Russia's arms exports have nose-dived, and future prospects are dim. Sanctions on vital components and poor performance on the battlefield sound the death knell for Russia's arms industry. What remains? Selling raw materials on the cheap to the likes of China and India.

@branilavvasic9727 Oh, now you're trying the colonisation angle, as per your dog-eared Kremlin playbook. I'll have you know that Russia rates among the worst of the worst in colonisation terms. Russia didn't need to go overseas since it could simply colonise its backyard, overland. Poignantly, Russia never left, unlike France, which decolonised a long time ago, save for the (micro)colonies that are just not economically viable on their own, although France would like to see the back of them as well. So, to this day, Russia doggedly clings on to its vast colonial empire and worse still, would like to re-colonise the former colonies that slipped from its grasp. Ukraine is a case in point. So, tell me, which European economies have collapsed recently? The only economic collapses on the European continent that I can recall are the USSR's wholesale collapse in 1991, and later, Russia's default in 1998.

@kaljus8431 You're beating a dead horse with your GDP-to-debt ratio. The point is that no-one in their right mind will lend money to Russia. When Russia's sovereign wealth fund is expended, the country has nowhere to turn -- except perhaps China. Then we're no longer talking about Russia, but about Ruxia, China's northernmost province.
