In your opinion, should the USA send a death squads to Russia, to assassinate Edward Snowdon, for starters?
1
Sid Student, you're dodging the question. Let me try to make it more comprehensible to you: is it OK for a foreign power to send death squads to Russia to assassinate political opponents, and in the process, put 20 innocent Russians in hospital? I'm asking, because you seem to think so. What's good for the goose is good for the gander, eh? You can save your breath about US misdeeds, alleged or real. I'm not an apologist for them. I know that allegations made against Russia always spark off a flurry of counter-allegations, but if at all possible, can we concentrate on Russia's immorality, which you seem to applaud?
1
ChameleonThe13, it's not about Snowden per se, but about whether Sib Student here condones assassinations of foreigners by foreign agents on Russian soil. It appears he does.
1
ChameleonThe13, are you intentionally deflecting from the issue at hand, i.e. assassinations of one's nationals on foreign soil, or is there some intellectual impairment at play here? As for Snowden, whatever you and I think of him is inconsequential. What matters is that the US authorities are out to get him. Why else do you think he hides out in Moscow?
1
ChameleonThe13, well, at any rate it appears you want to hijack the conversation in order to express your profound appreciation for Snowden. There's such a things as taking an analogy too far. The point here is that Skripal is a Russian citizen residing in the UK who fell victim to an assassination attempt in which Russia is the prime suspect. Snowden is a US citizen residing in Russia whom the United States want to hang high and dry. Any other similarities between the two are just a product of your vivid imagination. Let me reiterate that your opinions are of no interest to me. I was asking for that of Sib Student. Unless you're his sock puppet, butt out.
1
ChameleonThe13, you've convinced me that you're incapable of rational discourse. I brought Snowden into the conversation as another example -- besides Skripal -- of someone who's perceived as a traitor in his home country. I don't have to account for these perceptions; I'm merely observing that they exist. You're clearly the one with reading (and language) issues. I started off by addressing Sib Student and posing a question about his feelings on US death squads operating in Russia in order to whack US enemies of the state. I realise you're not fully proficient in English, but your language skills shouldn't prevent you from understanding such a simple question.
1
ChameleonThe13, you clearly suffer from poor reading comprehension. I gave you the benefit of the doubt that your language skills -- not your intellect -- was to blame, but now I'm swaying towards the latter. I haven't denied raising Snowden, but I brought him up only to illustrate my point. Snowden isn't the issue here -- the act of assassinating opponents on foreign soil is. And why is you don't understand the simple of concept of perception? Perceptions can be right or wrong. It's a neutral term. So just like Sib Student, in your thinking, Russia has the right to assassinate Russian nationals whom it perceives as traitors, even when they are abroad. You two(?) are morally-depraved.

ChameleonThe13, another rambling and incoherent response. Straw man attacks much? And abstract concepts are a complete mystery to you. Oh, unless you want to come across as a hysterical drama queen, leave off the all-caps and the overuse of exclamation marks.
1
ChameleonThe13, you wouldn't know a fact even if you stumbled over one. And if you weren't so clueless, you'd see that we're completely at cross-purposes. Are you female, by any chance?
1
ChameleonThe13. I'm not sexist, but you ooze emotion. Fact is, women are more liberal with their emotions. It would fit the picture.
1
ChameleonThe13: Right, I'm not effeminate.
