  1. Russia cut off its nose to spite its face in blowing up Nord Stream 1 and 2. Not that it matters, since neither was operational and there was no prospect of either becoming operational for the foreseeable future. Tellingly, Russia didn't get the expected pity points or manage to drive a wedge between its geopolitical opponents. I think the Rooskis will want to hang on to their pipelines in the hope that they'll restore oil and gas exports to pre-war levels at some point in the future. Maybe so, but we'll make sure the proceeds go to compensating Ukraine for the damage they've done.
