Been there, done that. SEA is not without its challenges. Bad internet, floods, blackouts and crime come to mind. Of course, there's practically none of that in the likes of Singapore and Hong Kong, but life is no longer cheap either.

@rizkyadiyanto7922 Thailand, Borneo and the Philippines between 2010 and 2018. Have natural disasters suddenly stopped from occurring? Poverty, is it suddenly eradicated? Bad governance, no more?

@rizkyadiyanto7922 I've experienced devastating floods in Thailand that derailed logistics for six months. We had storms in the Philippines that forced me to work from an internet cafe for a month. My point is that generally speaking, you get what you pay for. Some have higher expectations than others. I enjoyed living in Asia tremendously, but I understand why it's not an option for those who're too accustomed to their first world creature comforts.
