Comments by "peabase" (@peabase) on "Swedish military build-up on Baltic island 'a signal to Russia'" video.
Swedish Vikings founded Russia. Therefore, it could be argued that they kicked themselves in the butt.

Er, the Swedes have a military-industrial complex of their own. From the top of my head, I can't think of any particularly expensive American weaponry that they're buying except jet engine halves. Maybe some upgrades to old SAMs? Swedish weapons, however, find many takers. The Yanks buy them, too. We love their IFVs, and so does a good part of the free world.

@hendrikdependrik1891 Actually, interceptions serve to make it known to whoever is closing in on national airspace that their presence has been duly noted and if they could kindly refrain from venturing any closer. It's not a incursion per se. But contrary to what your bot friend is trying to claim, Russian planes have violated their Baltic neighbours' airspace and do so with some regularity.

@rasmusgustavsson3426 The Baltic Sea with its relatively shallow waters makes operating large warships unpractical. With limited room to manoeuvre, they become very vulnerable to mines and airpower. I supposed you haven't heard that earlier this year, two huge cruiseferries sailing between Sweden and Finland ran aground within as many months. And they try to stick to safe routes. Rather than a big-ship navy, Sweden is much-better served by small missile boats and attack aircraft.

@rasmusgustavsson3426 You're clearly a military fanboy. Strong opinions, substance -- if any -- overshadowed by glaring mistakes and oversights. Yup, you're a clear case. The Pohjanmaa-class are as of yet undelivered corvettes. Even if you insist on redefining them as frigates because of their tonnage, a frigate is still one class below destroyer. Not to worry, I'm not Swedish. Again, your tenuous grasp of geography is hampering your judgement. Poland is at the other end of the Baltic Sea. The topology of the sea bottom is quite different from that up north.

@rasmusgustavsson3426 You must have failed geography. Does Norway have a Baltic Sea coastline?

@rasmusgustavsson3426 We were discussing the Baltic Sea and you suddenly brought up Norway, as if it had a Baltic Sea coastline. You might as well have brought up the US Pacific Fleet. The Finnish Navy does not have destroyers. Its blue-water offensive capabilities are limited to missile boats, minelayers and minesweepers. Since you clearly struggle with naval terminology, let me add that Sweden's corvettes are a class above missile boats.

@rasmusgustavsson3426 Again, Finland has no destroyers. If you still insist otherwise, name them. Sure, destroyers have operated in the Baltic Sea and will, too, for the foreseeable future. However, they're not the best or only option for all nations with a Baltic Sea coastline. It's interesting that you purport to be a naval warfare expert, but you can't even tell destroyers and missile boats apart. Fanboy much?

@rasmusgustavsson3426 Haha, the fanboy is triggered. Non-sensical non sequiturs, that's all you're good for.
