  2. Turkey makes a poor mediator in more ways than one. Turkey is or was waging proxy wars against Russia in Syria, Libya and Nagorno-Karabakh. To add insult to injury, Turkey is supplying state-of-the-art drones and drone technology to Ukraine -- drones that have already have driven Russia's Libyan allies -- and Russia's Wagner Group mercenaries there -- to desperation. Not only that, in 2020 Azerbaidjan won back the Nagorno-Karabakh region from Armenia thanks to the very same drones.
