Britain wanted exclusive privileges to the detriment of the others. I'm actually looking forward to the accession talks, when Britain comes crawling back to the EU (assuming it ever lets Article 50 kick in) and the rebate, which it always took for granted, is off the table.

@serene1275 If you feel the EU is not giving you your money's worth, by all means, you should leave. But the supreme irony is that you thought you could leave and still enjoy cherry-picked benefits. You arrogantly thought the EU-27 would stand for it. Don't try to pin the blame on any imaginary bureaucrats that supposedly hold sway over the EU -- it's 27 nations that unanimously agree that Brexit-Britain isn't getting in on the cheap.

Don't you worry your pretty little head. It's a no-brainer for the EU to cut the cord when the UK becomes too much of a nuisance. It's just that we have pity on you while you try to solve your ever-worsening political crisis. Our patience has limits.

@marvinmarvin2424 No one did colonialism as the Brits. It was all good and well when they were the top dogs, but with Britain no longer in charge, the situation is suddenly completely unacceptable.
