Hydrocarbons as an energy source were on the way out well before Putin decided to accelerate the phase-out. Something to do with global warming... you may have heard of it.

@TheDynamicmarket "According to OPEC"? That's like asking tobacco companies if people will keep smoking. It's an irrefutable fact that renewable energy usage is rising rapidly (we've already crossed the 50% mark, and that doesn't include nuclear energy). That's business that the hydrocarbon producers have lost forever. As to electricity, my latest monthly bill was 28.66€. At times, when the winds really pick up, the price per kWh goes negative, so that my electric utility should (in theory) pay me. Gas we've never used domestically. In other words, I have nothing to worry about.
