Firstly, you're apparently oblivious of founder Ren Zhengfei's tight links with the Chinese military and the Chinese government. Secondly, as an Chinese company, Huawei is obligated by law to assist the Chinese government in intelligence gathering. Alternatively, they can force Chinese nationals -- Huawei's employees -- to lend them a hand. Mind you, having built a world-class company, I think Ren Zhengfei would very much like to move Huawei's headquarters away from China, but that's clearly not an option.

RC RC The world will get by without China in 5G, 6G or whatever G, just like it has in 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G. The saddest part is that China shot Huawei -- a world-class company in itself -- in the foot. It's a good learning for the CCP.

@imran4006 It looks like you're a silly conspiracy theorist yourself. 5G has never been exclusively a Chinese affair. It has been a global effort from the very start.

Not true. Huawei can sue for an unfair tendering process. In other words, the buyer needs to carefully justify the winning bid. "I was told not to accept Huawei's bid" won't fly in court.
