  1. You've missed the memo that they're fleeing the Taliban and their extreme interpretation of Islam. Incidentally, India has five times as many Muslims as Europe and almost as many as Pakistan. Hint.

  2. So, when can we, in your expert opinion, expect a plebiscite that gives the Taliban a popular mandate to rule over Afghanistan? Also, when they first ruled over Afghanistan from 1996 to 2001, the Taliban had to revert to draconian measures to keep the population in check. Bloodletting was more rule than exception. I'm afraid that doesn't suggests there's overwhelming popular support for the Taliban.
