  1. Putin wanted the US to look bad and he got his wish. Trump makes the US look very bad indeed. Putin, not exactly enjoying worldwide popularity himself, now trumps Trump in popularity. So does China's Xi.

  2. Raptor, Trump is a gift that keeps on giving. The damage he's doing to US interests isn't just momentary, but an ongoing affair. His successors will be saddled with a lasting legacy, too. I have my doubts about Russia swaying the vote in Trump's favour, but I do believe they had a try. For that alone, Russia deserves to be censured.

  3. Raptor, the slate won't be wiped clean when Trump leaves office. Long-term commitments, such as US participation in trade, climate and peace agreements, will be met with considerable skepticism. Mind you, not because of the next occupant of the White House (who'll no doubt receive a Nobel Peace Prize the moment he or she takes office), but because of the loose cannon that nixes everything again. If you've gone mad once, who's to say there won't be a relapse?
