It helps to close ranks when the likes of Trump and Putin start drawing battle lines. Thanks Donnie and Pootie!

@KjkpHiG Rather, Canada will gain quite a few new provinces, formerly called blue states.

@MattWhite-vh6xh If the US were to adopt universal healthcare as well, it would actually save them money. They've invented the most expensive healthcare system in the world with the worst coverage among developed nations. Hooray for US exceptionalism!

@Babesinthewood97 No worries, Trump's global war on trade has lit a fire under Canada's and the EU's trade negotiators.

@Qunitlius I'm on Linux, not Windows. Linux hails from Finland. Nowadays, there would be no internet without the OS. Android, too, borrows heavily from Linux. IPhones are crammed with European-patented technology. Not only that, in America, just about every cellular call goes through a European-made cellular network.

@Donut-d3t Yet the US trade imbalance with Europe drives Trump up the wall. Explain that.

@erikwillemcoenen7473 Maybe California should join together with Canada first, after which Calanada?... Canafornia?... can join the EU. Double whammy for Trump!

@henkmertens7120 It's easier to list countries in Europe that have no budding consumer boycotts of US products. Shoot, can't think of any.

@zerog1037 Android relies heavily on European patented technology. Mobile telecommunications is not an industry where you want to engage in your favourite pastime, braggadocio.

We really should get Lidl to sell us Afri Cola. And Bluna.

@DavidWalls-sr1pg Actually, Netflix's "original" programming has hurt Hollywood a lot.
1
@DavidWalls-sr1pg Be that as it may, Netflix sourcing "original" content from European media companies has hurt Hollywood. Didn't you notice that Trump appointed special ambassadors to help Hollywood bring back lost business from foreign countries? Not to worry, his chosen ambassadors will either have no effect or the reverse effect.

@Moravienis_dynasty4543 Pepsi? That's Murican too. Personally, I vote for Afri Cola. Because of its exceptionally high cafeine content it's is a nice pick-me-upper when you can't be arsed to brew coffee.

@Donut-d3t I suppose you don't drive.

@jillcockerell2564 It's mostly the brands that are US in origin, not the products themselves. In trade terms the impact of a European consumer boycott will be relatively low, but morally, why not.

@Krv-y7f This Krembot thinks "invasion" is a verb. Busted.

@inglin4895 You got it all wrong. To counter a MAGAtard's argument, you have to use alternative fact, not real ones.

@uffa00001 We should be buying Canadian products, too, if only to thumb our noses at Trump. I'll make sure to get some maple syrup and a six-pack of Canada Dry.
