  1. There's no wholesale ban on Russians entering the EU, nor is there one under consideration. Actually, if Russians are no longer issued EU tourist visas, visas on professional, educational, familial and humanitarian grounds can be issued more readily.

  3. That's all good and well, but it's the countries that border Russia that matter, since direct flights from Russia to EU destinations are permanently on hold.
