@Mautiks Zelenskyy wanted some security guarantees -- any securities guarantees. It's up to the Trump administration to specify what it can offer. It would've been impudent if Zelenskyy had banged the table and demanded something akin to 100,000 soldiers, 1,000 tanks, 250 aircraft and 500 artillery systems. So far, all that Trump has offered in terms of security guarantees is US mining engineers. Putin must be shaking in fear.

@Mautiks Legalities are of little concern to Putin. By invading Ukraine, he knowingly broke the UN Charter, which forbids the use of military force to seize and occupy foreign territory. Without boots on the ground, US threats of military action carry no weight.
