  1. It's uncanny that the Soviets had their Vietnam War moment in Afghanistan and now, in similar copycat style, the Russians are having their War in Afghanistan moment in Syria. I wonder how our resident Krembots will explain this after criticising NATO for the Afghanistan failure, without being total hypocrites. The moral of the story must be that it's useless to prop up regimes that the people don't care for. Bye bye, Assad, we won't miss ya.
