  1. Joseph, note how Lithuania's Andrius Kubilus got appointed EU's new commissioner for defence. Also, note that Estonia's Kaja Kallas is slated to become EU high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, an even higher rung in the EU hierarchy ladder. She still needs majority support in the European Parliament to clinch the appointment, but that's practically a given unless she somehow manages to louse up her job interview by the MEPs. All this suggests that you're in the minority with your views. We, the majority in Europe, clearly congratulate and reward the Balts for their foresight with regard to Russia and their unwavering support for Ukraine. Or should I address you as Ivan?
