BritishFreedom Fine, put your faith in butterflies changing your destiny. If anything, the Leave campaign demonstrated how at odds the inner and outer perceptions of Britain's importance are. Prepare for a rude awakening.

Cameron was out for British privileges, not EU-wide reform. The irony is that he would've readily found allies within the EU if his cause had been about reform. Foolishly, he sidestepped these would-be allies and pursued British interests rather than trying to find common ground with the reform-minded. History won't be kind to Cameron, I'm afraid.

BritishFreedom They were walking a tight-rope. More concessions to Britain would've angered their own electorates, who according to some polls were already leaning towards Brexit. When faced with irreconcilable differences, divorce is the best option. The good thing about Brexit is that Cameron's last-ditch EU deal, which was supposed to save his hide, is now off the table. A more cohesive Europe remains.

BritishFreedom The fact of the matter is that populist parties with far right leanings are the only vocal EU critics in continental Europe. Ergo, you root for them.

BritishFreedom Britain leads? That's rich. As I mentioned, the smaller, affluent EU members did look at Britain for leadership, but found a country contemplating its navel instead. The rabid hate campaign didn't do you any favours either. Sure, Europe's far right may look for inspiration and leadership in UKIP and Farage, but I wouldn't boast about leading a bunch of neo- and crypto-fascists.

BritishFreedom You portray EU leaders as autocrats who have it in their power to grant Britain any wish. The fact of the matter is that they are answerable to their peoples, and as I've tried to explain to you, polls suggested that they'd gone too far already in making concessions. I'll leave your flag-waving for what it is. Don't hold your breath that the EU is falling apart any time soon. Your neo- and crypto-fascist allies won't carry the day.

Nope, that'll be Cameron. He gambled with Britain's future and lost. Britain's xenophobia is home-made.

BritishFreedom How amusing that you think I don't know about the butterfly effect. First year uni. It goes without saying that when you form part of a bigger whole, you have to take others into account. Not a family man, eh?

BritishFreedom My ignorance? Didn't I refer to destiny? You must be quite the martinet then. The EU leaders were supposed to bend over backwards to accommodate your special requests, but vice versa, you wouldn't conform. Anyhow, we're flapping our gums. We tried reconciliation, even against popular opinion, but Britain opted for separation all the same. Irreconcilable differences. Grounds for divorce.

BritishFreedom Enough said. Your grandad must be rolling in his grave, if indeed he fought Hitler.

+Phuck Ewe You should really look into who're the biggest net contributors to the EU budget. Hint: it's not the UK, not by a long shot. I can't wait to vote in a referendum about an upcoming EU trade deal with Britain. Let's see if I feel magnanimous.
