@MrGatzby Yet Putin has gone on record saying that Ukraine is not a country and that the Russians and Ukrainians are one people. So why would he stop at Donbas? Moreover, language doesn't make the Donbassians Russian. Try telling the Irish that they're English. I dare you. And Boris is not my man by any means. @MrGatzby True dat. The two empires are different all right. The British Empire lost its colonies and as such, has been consigned to history. The Russian Empire, now renamed the Russian Federation, largely retains its colonies and is very much here and now, with its imperial ambitions intact.

@stephenparkes9543 I have no clue? 98% of the Irish speak English as their first language. And the Austrians, do they speak Austrian according to you? The Swiss must confuse you terribly. Most of Latin America speaks Spanish, so would you argue they're Spaniards?
