@kennyken4461 Which European 'coloniser' would you like to blame in particular? The Ottomans -- who can hardly be called Europeans -- were the actual colonisers. When the Ottoman Empire came crashing down, European Britain was awarded a mandate over Palestine by the League of Nations, with the aim of preparing the territory for independence. Britain soon grew weary of the assignment, ending it even prematurely.

@saundrakielborn2201 It was actually the UN that paritioned Palestine into Arab and Jewish states, and an 'international' zone, Jerusalem. By the time, Britain had grown very weary of its troublesome mandate, and wished to give it up soonest.
